UPVC Front Doors in Glasgow

The UPVC windows and doors we offer in Glasgow are suitable for any home. Constructed from the highest quality PVCU, the doors we offer are highly durable and require little maintenance. The UPVC windows we offer are manufactured using state-of-the-art techniques and materials, giving them incredible acoustic and thermal qualities, and the latest security features.

Why Choose uPVC Entrance Doors?

uPVC has been used in manufacturing exterior doors like front doors and back doors for a number of decades and has become the default material used in the production of most front doors. uPVC doors are reliable and structurally sound and are available in a range of designs to fit the feeling and decor of your home. Feel safe in your home knowing all of our uPVC doors are designed to provide quality security and strength while remaining low maintenance. Our uPVC doors also feature multipoint locks and locking systems that are designed to meet stringent home insurance requirements. This makes uPVC doors a great alternative to some other common materials used in front doors like wood which can be quite expensive and isn’t as weather-resistant as uPVC.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Are uPVC Front Doors better than Composite?

uPVC front doors and composite front doors are often confused as they have a number of similarities. Both offer great security, low maintenance, and excellent durability, however, the way in which they’re made are different. uPVC doors are made using unplasticised polyvinyl chloride while composite doors are made using a blend of different materials including wood, insulating foam, glass-reinforced plastic, and more.

How long do uPVC Front Doors Last?

Double glazed uPVC front doors are normally guaranteed for up to 10 years but on average last up to 35 years when maintained and looked after to a good standard. Keeping your uPVC front door in tip-top shape could see it last even longer.

Can uPVC Doors be Painted?

You can technically paint a uPVC door but it kind of defeats the purpose of what uPVC doors are for - they’re designed to be simple, low maintenance and weather resistant. We wouldn’t recommend painting your uPVC door, instead speak to your installer when having your uPVC door installed and the door can be coloured to match the colour you wish to choose.
