Composite Front Doors

Our most popular composite option. A solid timber core, glass-reinforced plastic outer shell and 70mm uPVC frame combine to create a door that looks and feels premium, with none of the upkeep of timber. View our composite front doors

Composite Back Doors

Rear entrances are just as important as front doors for security and insulation. Our composite back doors offer the same high-specification construction as our front doors, in a range of styles suited to garden and utility access. View our composite back doors

Glazed Composite Doors

Part-glazed composite doors let natural light into your hallway while maintaining the strength and insulation of a solid composite construction. Choose from clear, obscure and decorative glass options, with double glazing as standard.View our double glazed composite doors

COMPOSITE DOORS

Why Choose Composite Doors For Your Home

Superior security: Composite doors are among the most secure doors available for residential properties. A solid timber core, glass-reinforced plastic outer shell and 70mm frame make them significantly harder to force than hollow-core or standard uPVC doors.

Outstanding thermal efficiency: The polyurethane core of a composite door is a highly effective insulator. Combined with double glazing and a tight-fitting uPVC frame, composite doors dramatically reduce heat loss, making a noticeable difference to the warmth of your hallway and your monthly heating bills.

The look of timber without the maintenance: Composite doors replicate the appearance of traditional painted or woodgrain timber doors with exceptional accuracy. Unlike real timber, they will not rot, warp, swell or crack in Scotland’s wet climate, and require no sanding, treating or repainting throughout their lifespan.

Long lifespan: Our composite doors are built to last upwards of 30 years. The combination of materials used in their construction makes them highly resistant to weathering, impact and general wear, outlasting standard uPVC and timber alternatives in most conditions.

Noise reduction: The solid construction of a composite door, combined with double glazing, provides an effective acoustic barrier against road noise, neighbours and foot traffic, making your entrance hall noticeably quieter.

Composite Door Styles

FAQs

A composite door is made from multiple materials compressed together: a solid timber core, a glass-reinforced plastic (GRP) outer shell, a polyurethane foam fill and a uPVC frame. This combination delivers greater strength, insulation and weather resistance than any single material could achieve on its own.

Yes. The solid timber core and GRP shell make composite doors significantly more rigid and harder to force than standard uPVC doors. Combined with our multi-point locking systems and 70mm frames, they are among the most secure residential door options available.

Very little. Unlike timber doors, composite doors do not need sanding, painting or treating. An occasional wipe down with a damp cloth is all that is required to keep them looking their best. They will not rot, warp or fade throughout their lifespan.

Most composite door installations are completed within a single day, with minimum disruption to your home.
